It mostly pulls from public records like property and court databases. I’d say it’s 85% accurate but you might hit some outdated info depending on the person.

I used one when hiring a dog walker. Might sound excessive but they’d have access to my house. Found a theft charge hard pass.

If you’re noticing a bunch of packages piling up, you might try contacting the delivery company if it becomes a concern.

BeenVerified was solid. I used it to look up an old coworker and found their LinkedIn and current city.

My background check went back 10 years when I was applying for a government job. I think private companies often stick to 7 years but if it's a security clearance all bets are off.

Use LinkedIn if you have a rough idea of their job title or city. Their real names usually show up there.

Check the American Legion or VFW posts in the area you think they lived. They might have records or member directories.

Even if social media profiles are locked down, people get tagged in photos by friends. Try reverse searching their name on facebook with mutual contacts.

Beenverified, truthfinder and intelius all promise the moon but mostly give broad summaries unless you pay. If it’s not for legal reasons stick to official sources.

You can try whitepages premium. It costs a bit but in my experience, it's more accurate than those shady $1 trial sites.

Try running the number through true caller. Sometimes you get a name and last known city for free.

It is okay if you're just poking around but for anything that matters felt more accurate in my case.

Unfortunately there’s no real standard method. Every state has its own setup and even counties can be different. PA for example has a unified court system search.

Switched to beenverified recently and found it a lot more accurate for basic checks. Still not perfect but better consistency.
