Credit Repair Services in Visalia

if anyone here has experience with credit repair services in the Visalia area. My credit has taken some hits over the past few years missed payments, a couple of collectionsand now I’m finally in a place where I’m trying to turn things around.

I’ve done some basic steps on my own like disputing old accounts and making sure everything is current, but I feel like I’ve hit a wall. I’m considering reaching out to a local credit repair company to see if they can help push things forward, but I’m honestly not sure who to trust.

If anyone from Visalia or nearby has worked with a credit repair service that actually helped, I’d love to hear your story. Did they improve your score? Were they transparent about their fees and timelines? And most importantly, did they stick to what they promised?

Also, if there are any companies I should definitely stay away from, feel free to share that too.

Appreciate any help just trying to move forward and put myself in a better position financially

I worked with Credit Pro Solutions in Visalia last year......got about 85 points added in 4 months. They explained every step and were very transparent about pricing ($99/month, cancel anytime). They weren’t miracle workers but definitely helped clear up my two collections.

Bro i was in the same boat. Missed car payments, two charge-offs... a mess. I used Valley Credit Repair and they actually got a bunch of stuff deleted. Took like 6 months and cost me some $$ but it was worth it just to stop getting collection letters.

Yo low-key your DIY work already sounds better than what some shady places offer. I’d stick with self-repair unless you get a rock-solid recommendation. Most of these companies just dispute online...same stuff you can do for free.

Used Lexington Law for 8 months. They're not local but worked remotely just fine. Results were slow but i did go from 512 to 644. Be patient it’s not instant coffee.

If you’re thinking about going local, at least make sure they’re bonded and registered in CA. The Department of Justice has a searchable license portal. Dodgy shops love targeting desperate folks.

I had a decent experience with Tulare Credit Solutions. They were a small team but didn’t sugarcoat anything. No gimmicks just slow-and-steady progress. Cost me $400 total over several months.

Never used local services but highly recommend checking r/personalfinance wiki. Lots of DIY strategies that work if you're consistent. Credit repair is a marathon not a sprint.

If you’ve already disputed and caught up on payments, next step could be goodwill letters or negotiating pay-for-delete. No service can promise deletions so make sure they don’t lie about that.

Honestly i had better luck just calling the creditors myself. Offered to pay a chunk up front and asked if they’d remove it. Some said no but two actually did it.

I tried Credit Revival Pros out near Mooney Blvd. Took 2 months to even get an update. Felt like I was chasing them. I ended up canceling and doing it myself with better results.

Have not used one but i called around a few. Some charge document fees and others make you sign year-long contracts. Always ask if you can do month-to-month.

I did Sky Blue Credit online. Not Visalia-based but worked well and affordable. Just make sure whatever service you use explains things in plain english.

I was in your shoes two years ago. Needed to clean my credit before applying for a mortgage. I used MyCreditMedic (they're based in Fresno) and it helped big time. Took 5 months to go from 540 to 690.

Look into nonprofits like Springboard or Money Management International. They offer credit counseling and can set you up with a DMP that actually helps instead of scamming you.

Whatever you do don’t just hand over your social and bank info without checking their reviews and credentials. I almost gave mine to a consultant who wasn’t even licensed.

You’re doing the right thing just asking around first. Visalia has a lot of services but not a lot of good ones. Keep your guard up and get everything in writing.

I used Valley Credit Solutions in downtown Visalia last year. They were transparent about fees $99/month with no setup charge and helped remove two collections. My score went up about 85 points in 4 months. The guy there, Sergio really knew his stuff. Just be ready to stay on top of them sometimes they get busy.

Yooo props for trying to fix your credit. I went through a nightmare with a repossession and medical debt. Ended up using My Credit Warrior (think they’re in Tulare though). They helped with one deletion but also pushed hard on upsells. Stay alert for red flags like guaranteed results.

Have you looked into nonprofit credit counseling first? i went through Money Management International they’re not local but they helped me set up a DMP that worked. Not technically repair but if you’re hitting a wall, might be better than shady repair promises.
