Someone here can share their experience or advice about using credit repair services in Charleston, SC. My credit took a hit over the last few years due to some unexpected life events medical bills, job loss, the usual stuff and while I’ve made a bit of progress on my own, I’m starting to feel like I need some professional help to really move things along.
I’ve come across a few companies online and seen some ads for local services, but honestly, it’s hard to tell what’s legit and what’s just another way to take advantage of people trying to get back on track. Some places promise fast results, but I’ve heard that can be a red flag.
If anyone here has worked with a credit repair service in Charleston, I’d love to hear how it went. Did they actually help? Were they transparent about everything? And how long did it take before you started to see real changes?
I’m just trying to get my credit back in shape so I can eventually qualify for a decent mortgage rate. Any personal stories, warnings, or even tips for doing it on your own would be super appreciated.
Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to respond. This stuff can be overwhelming, and it helps to hear from real people who've been through it
