Credit Repair Resources Reviews – Any Legit Ones Out There?

Has anyone here used Credit Repair Resources or know much about them? I’ve been looking into a few credit repair companies and this one popped up in my search. Their site looks polished and they seem to offer the usual services dispute handling, credit coaching, and so on but I haven’t been able to find many real reviews from people who’ve actually used them.

Before I consider reaching out, I’d love to know if anyone in this community has first-hand experience with them. Did they actually help improve your credit? Was the communication clear and professional?

I’ve dealt with shady services in the past that overpromised and underdelivered, so I’m trying to be extra cautious this time around. Honest feedback good, bad, or neutral is really appreciated.

Also, if there are other companies you’ve had success with (or ones to avoid), feel free to share!

Used Credit Repair Resources about a year ago when my credit was in the dumps (~540 score). Took about 5 months but I saw a 70 point increase. Communication was mostly email-based, and responses were decent but not super quick. The coaching calls helped me understand utilization better too.

Honestly i was suspicious too. Their website gave me too slick to trust vibes lol. But i signed up and while they didn’t work magic they did help me get two errors off my report. Took patience and some nudging, but it wasn’t a scam at least.

They did okay for my sister but i wouldn’t recommend them if you’re trying to rush results. Took her 6 months just to clean up 3 negative marks. Customer service was hit or miss depends on who you get.

I've used Lexington Law in the past and Credit Repair Resources more recently. Both do similar things...sending dispute letters and such but neither are miracle workers. You're paying for convenience not magic. Read up on DIY methods if you’ve got time and patience.

LOL i actually had a consultation with them, and the rep sounded like they were reading a script from a used car dealership. Super pushy. That turned me off quick. Maybe others had better reps, idk.

No firsthand experience but i always recommend checking if they’re registered with the CFPB or Better Business Bureau. If they’re not walk away. If they are, still tread carefully and look for consistency in third party reviews.

Used them after my divorce tanked my score. They were helpful in explaining next steps and disputing items, but I also had to follow up a lot. Got to 690 from 590 in 8 months. Felt like teamwork rather than them doing it all for me.

If a company leads with testimonials and not hard info on how their process works, be wary. Credit Repair Resources had flash but felt vague to me. I bounced before signing anything.

I tried them AND The Credit Pros. Honestly, Credit Repair Resources was a little more hands-off. They filed disputes but didn’t educate me much. The Credit Pros gave more tools to monitor changes yourself.

Got ghosted after paying the setup fee.......had to call three times before getting someone on the line. I got one item removed from Experian but Equifax and TransUnion barely budged.

So my cousin used them, and they did get some results. But she said the billing was confusing.....she thought it was a flat fee but ended up being monthly. Always read the fine print.

I actually had a decent experience. Took some time, yes but they were transparent and polite. Score went from 615 to 703 in 6 months. Wish they had a portal to track disputes though.

I’m a loan officer.....seen folks use these services before. Sometimes they get small wins, other times they delay mortgage pre approvals due to murky dispute statuses. Be cautious during loan applications.

Had a friend who saw great results—score jumped 80+ points. But he also opened two secured cards and paid everything on time. So… was it them or him? Hard to tell.

I used them as a last resort before bankruptcy. Helped stall some stuff but didn't save me in the end. Might work better if you’re just cleaning up past due accounts.

Tried calling them twice to ask a few questions before signing up. Never got a callback. Red flag for me tbh. If you can't get ahold of them before paying imagine afterward

DIY repair worked way better for me. Followed Reddit tips, used Credit Karma to track, wrote my own disputes. Felt so good fixing it myself and i saved hundreds.

I used Credit Repair Resources back in 2022. They helped get two collections removed but it took a solid 5 months. Communication was okay not stellar but they replied within a couple days. Nothing shady though so that’s a plus in this industry.

Can confirm they’re real but not miracle workers. I had one repo they couldn’t get off my report despite trying for weeks. They were polite and didn’t promise anything they couldn’t do which i respected. Just… temper expectations.
