Veracity Credit Repair — Worth It or Not?

Has anyone here used Veracity Credit Repair or know someone who has? They’ve been around for a while, and their site looks pretty legit, but it’s hard to tell what’s real and what’s just good marketing these days.

There’s been a lot of work going into rebuilding credit lately, and Veracity came up in the search for companies that actually offer hands-on support and dispute work. Some places charge crazy fees with very little to show for it, so it would be great to hear from someone who’s gone through the process with them.

Looking for honest feedback did they actually help remove anything from your report? Was communication clear and consistent? Were there any unexpected costs or red flags along the way?

Not expecting miracles, just curious if they’re worth the investment or if the DIY route might be more effective and less stressful.

Any thoughts or personal experiences would be much appreciated

Used Veracity about 2 years ago. They helped me get 4 accounts removed over 6 months. Communication was pretty good, i got emails whenever they sent out disputes. Not miracle workers but i’d say it was worth it for someone who didn’t wanna DIY everything.

Honestly most of these services are glorified letter writers. You can do what they do with a few templates and some stamps. I don’t trust a company that won’t clearly list all fees upfront. Transparency matters.

I tried Veracity for 3 months. They DID help dispute some inaccurate info but i ended up canceling and going the DIY route because i realized it’s not rocket science. Credit repair just takes consistency and patience.

I didn’t use Veracity but my brother did. His score jumped from 540 to 660 in about 8 months. He said they weren’t pushy and explained things well. He still had to keep up on his own bills and cards, though no service can fix bad habits.

They’re legit in the sense that they won’t scam you but they’re slow. Like DMV-level slow. Also, the reps change constantly so i had to re explain my case 3 times. Better than Lexington Law though

I gave them a shot when i was dealing with identity theft fallout. They got a few inquiries removed, but it felt like a slow crawl. Ended up hiring a lawyer instead which cost more but got results fast.

Still working with Veracity now (month 4). So far they’ve removed two collections. I like that i can see progress in the dashboard. I do wish they explained what each dispute was more clearly. It’s like… just tell me what’s happening!

If you know what a goodwill letter is or how to read a credit report... Veracity won’t be much help. But for my mom who isn’t tech-savvy at all, they’ve been a godsend. She went from scared to empowered.

I almost signed up but backed out after reading their terms of service buried in there is a clause saying results aren't guaranteed and that you might be charged even if disputes fail. No thanks.

Used them in 2020. They were responsive and polite, but not aggressive. One rep even suggested i try paying off a collection instead of disputing. Respect the honesty tbh.

Veracity was the push i needed to finally get serious. I didn’t stick with them forever but they got me started and taught me a lot. Sometimes paying for structure is worth it.

Bro just use Credit Karma and some dispute templates. These companies prey on folks who are scared of paperwork. I fixed my report with 3 stamps and a weekend of Googling.

They’re okay not amazing. I had to follow up a lot and responses were kinda vague. But they weren’t shady or anything. I’d say they're middle-of-the-road especially for beginners.

I like that Veracity didn’t try to upsell me on extra services. A lot of companies in this space get shady fast. My experience was basic but clean. Got two errors removed from Equifax.

My partner used them to try to get her student loan lates removed. No dice....It wasn’t Veracity’s fault federal loans are tough to touch. But i wish they explained that before charging us for 3 months.

I say try DIY first.. then escalate to Veracity or someone else if you hit a wall. I used them when i got overwhelmed with medical collections. They weren’t miracle workers but they did help organize things.

Customer support was polite but slooooow. Like, molasses in January slow. I had to call twice to get an update on my file. The dashboard helped but still annoying.

Used them for 6 months. Removed 5 negative items across all 3 bureaus. My score went up about 80 points total. It’s not nothing but it’s not magic either. You’ve still gotta be proactive.

I appreciated that they didn’t try to sell me credit cards or loans like other companies. It was purely about credit repair which felt more trustworthy. Just wish they were faster.
