Infotracer Review Should I Stick With It or Look for Something Better

I used infotracer on and off for a while mostly for background checks and occasional lookups when I need to verify basic public info. It used to give me fairly decent results but lately I’ve been getting more and more questionable or outdated data. Names I’ve consistently found in the past aren’t coming up anymore, and the results feel a lot more cluttered with vague or mismatched records.

I'm not doing anything high level just standard checks where accuracy matters. So now I’m wondering, is this just a phase infotracer is going through or is the service declining overall?. I would really appreciate hearing what others have experienced. If you’ve switched to a different service free or paid, what’s worked well for you?

I had the same experience with Infotracer. It used to be halfway decent but now it’s just outdated noise and recycled public records.

Switched to beenverified recently and found it a lot more accurate for basic checks. Still not perfect but better consistency.

Honestly I think Infotracer’s backend data sources changed. Results used to pull solid matches now it’s all filler.

Try True people search if you just want addresses and phone numbers. Totally free and surprisingly current.

I use intelius and peoplefinders depending on what I need. Neither is flawless but they tend to be more accurate with aliases and middle initials.

If accuracy matters, even paid reports from infotracer miss things now. Not worth it IMO.

Infotracer feels like it’s leaning more into quantity than quality. Too many maybes not enough confirmations.

If you’re looking at public records and court data sometimes going straight to county or state websites works better than these lookup sites.

If it’s just casual use maybe try Spokeo. It’s kind of middle ground not too pricey and a decent UI.

If you’re into more professional checks consider TLOxp or IDI Core but they require credentials.

I use a mix free tools like fast people search for addresses then pay if I need deeper info.
