Credit Repair Services in Jacksonville FL

If anyone here has experience with credit repair services in Jacksonville, Florida? A family member is looking to fix up their credit after some financial setbacks, and we’re hoping to find someone local who’s trustworthy, affordable, and actually gets results. We've seen a few companies online that say they serve the Jacksonville area, but it’s hard to tell which ones are legit and which ones just look good on paper. If you've worked with a credit repair specialist or company in Jax whether it was a great experience or a total letdown

I used Credit Lift Jacksonville about two years ago after a nasty divorce tanked my score. They weren’t magic but they helped clean up a couple old collections and gave me good budgeting advice. Took about 6 months to see major changes. It’s not cheap though around $90/month when i used them. But i ended up getting approved for a car loan after, so I’d say worth it.

A word of warning: stay away from those guaranteed results places. I tried one of those flashy ones I saw on Facebook ads targeting Jacksonville folks, and it was a mess. They charged $120/mo and ghosted me after 3 months. No real progress, and their BBB complaints are wild. Do your homework before signing anything.

We used Score Dr. (on Beach Blvd) for my mom’s credit. Super hands-on. They explained everything like she was five. Helped remove a few inaccurate medical collections and her score jumped from 520 to 680 in about 8 months. Felt like they genuinely cared.

Honestly Credit repair companies are kinda sus to me. What they do, you can mostly do yourself with a little research and patience. Disputing errors on your credit report isn't rocket science, and there are free templates all over the internet. Unless someone has time constraints or really messy reports, I’d say DIY first.

Just chiming in to say i had a great experience with River City Credit Solutions. Small team, local, and super responsive. They walked me through each item on my report and set up a dispute schedule. I appreciated that they didn’t sugarcoat things.....no fake promises, just a plan. My score improved by 112 points in under a year.

Empathetically speaking, credit repair is emotionally draining. My sister in Jax used Credit Saint (national, but they serve FL) after losing her job. Mixed results, but their customer service was solid. They didn’t overpromise, which I think is key when you're vulnerable.

Funny thing my cousin fixed his credit in Jacksonville using a TikTok influencer’s DIY kit. Paid like $15, followed all the steps and got 3 deletions in 60 days. No lie. Sometimes these gurus are more helpful than the $100/month agencies.

I had a total nightmare with Lexington Law. I know they’re big but they just kept charging me monthly and doing the bare minimum. I live in Jax and thought a big brand would be better. Nope. Took me 3 emails to cancel. Wouldn’t recommend unless you're desperate.

Check out The Credit Repairmen. I believe they have a rep based in Jacksonville. My friend said they helped clean up some fraudulent accounts after identity theft. Took a while, like 9 months but her score’s healthy now. Just be patient with the process.

One key tip: No matter which service you pick, monitor your own credit religiously. Use Credit Karma, Experian, whatever you prefer. Services can help but you need to know what’s happening too. My cousin caught an account they forgot to dispute.

This is oddly specific, but I used TruCredit Solutions.....they had a booth at a Jax home fair last year. Signed up, skeptical as hell. Surprisingly, they were professional, sent updates, and got one charge-off removed. Only reason i stopped was budgeting. Wish I could’ve continued.

lots of these guys are smooth talkers. Got scammed in 2022 by a repair expert who was just a dude with a PO Box. Took $250 up front and dipped. Police said I’d never see that again. Jacksonville has good ones but some real crooks too.

I know someone mentioned Score Dr., but i wanna double-vouch. Their staff actually explains how credit scoring works and how to maintain it once repaired. My husband went from a 590 to a 710 in under a year after bankruptcy. We were SHOCKED.

If you’re the DIY type, check out r/personalfinance too. Lots of resources on disputing and rebuilding. You don’t always need a company unless you're in over your head. Honestly a secured card and on-time payments go further than people think.

Not trying to sound cynical but credit repair is often about consistency, not quick tricks. I worked with My Credit Team Jax....super nice people, but they didn’t fix anything magical. Just coached me through cleanup, rebuilding, and patience.

Anyone here tried Omega Credit Repair in Jax? Heard mixed reviews but wondering if someone’s actually used them recently. Saw an Instagram ad and it looked semi-legit.

Sunshine State Credit Help was good for my dad. They’re based out of Jax Beach, i believe. Charged a flat fee, no monthly nonsense. They even helped him get a secured card that reported immediately. Score jumped 60 points in 3 months.
