Is PeopleFinders legit for finding accurate background info?

I’ve been diving into some background check tools lately mostly for peace of mind or reconnecting with people from the past. I’ve come across peoplefinders and the price seems reasonable compared to others but I’m wondering does it actually deliver reliable background info?

Has anyone used it recently and found their records spot on? I’m talking addresses, possible criminal history, phone numbers that sort of thing. I’m not trying to dig into anything suspicious just want to know if I can trust it when I need quick and accurate info. I’ve seen reviews that say it’s just scraping public records like county or court databases but still curious how accurate it is in practice.

Yes I used peoplefinders to look up an old coworker I lost touch with. It gave me their current city, a landline and even a list of previous addresses that matched what I already knew. Pretty accurate in my case.

It mostly pulls from public records like property and court databases. I’d say it’s 85% accurate but you might hit some outdated info depending on the person.

Used it recently when helping a friend find their birth parent. Phone numbers were hit or miss but addresses and relatives were surprisingly good.

I compared it to truthfinder and intelius and honestly, peoplefinders was cheaper and about as accurate. Just don't expect miracles.

Used it last month to vet a Craigslist roommate. Showed an eviction from 4 years ago I wouldn’t have known otherwise. Worth the $.

I tried it to check out a neighbor who gave me weird vibes. The info matched what I could already find for free so I wasn’t impressed.
