Bought leads once from a site that rhymes with bad credit pick... total scam. Half the numbers were dead, others had been called 10 times already. Now i only use FB ads + email opt-ins. Way more reliable.
My experience was lukewarm at best. They started strong good onboarding, clear roadmap. But then updates got sparse and i had to follow up constantly. It felt like once they had my money.....i wasn’t a priority. A couple of small things got fixed but nothing game changing.
It's a good idea but implementation is where good ideas go to die. I want to see strict regulations on how data is collected, reported, and disputed. Otherwise it’s just more power to data brokers.
They helped my cousin clean up her report after an ugly divorce. Took about 5 months and she was able to lease a car again without a co-signer. That’s a W in my book.
I swear PayPal's credit system is like Schrödinger’s loan.....it exists and doesn’t until you check your report. Maybe they flip a coin each month to decide if they’ll report you
Fixing credit is like eating healthy. You know what you’re supposed to do, but somehow there’s always an excuse. Eventually i just forced myself to do the boring stuff: track spending, pay on time, stop applying for new cards.
It's a calculated risk. Young people might default more but they also carry balances and pay interest. Plus credit cards are unsecured debt banks set crazy high APRs to offset that risk.
Trying to find a legit credit repair company is like swiping on Tinder. You’re gonna match with a lot of red flags before you meet the one who treats you right.
To be fair most companies just send generic dispute letters every 30 days and wait. It’s Time didn’t seem much different but i will say they were faster to reply than some big-name firms. I still prefer DIY now though.
Not a client but i reverse-searched their business registry and BBB profile. some people say it helped, others say it was a money pit. What bugs me is the lack of transparency on their site. Too many contact us to learn more buttons.
Wasn't dismissed but did get a judgment removed using a well-drafted dispute and court verification. If that’s any indication, documentation and tone really do matter. Be firm but respectful.
Customer support was polite but slooooow. Like, molasses in January slow. I had to call twice to get an update on my file. The dashboard helped but still annoying.
I used a local attorney in St. Louis instead of a company and it was the best decision I made. Cost a bit more upfront but they were transparent and explained every step. Way less mystery billing.
Honestly i’ve been with them since 2019 and it used to be solid. Ever since they changed pricing models last year, service quality seems to have taken a nosedive.
Weirdly enough, I had more luck emailing the CFPB than mailing letters. You could attach all the failed dispute evidence and explain how the bureau hasn’t provided proper verification. Worth a shot.
So many credit repair firms seem shady af. If they’re asking for upfront fees and promising to delete legit debts, run. The only one i’ve ever seen work transparently was Lexington Law and even that was slow and not cheap.
DIY repair worked way better for me. Followed Reddit tips, used Credit Karma to track, wrote my own disputes. Felt so good fixing it myself and i saved hundreds.
