Try Gateway Credit Services on Lindell Blvd. They helped my cousin fix up his credit before buying a home. Not flashy but they’re real people who actually sit down and explain your reports.
Have y’all seen their recent TrustPilot reviews? Login issues, payment bugs, customer support delays......it’s a trend. I was actually about to sign up until I saw all this mess unfold. Dodged a bullet maybe.
You’re doing the right thing. Most people just give up when they see verified. But 609 isn’t the endgame it’s a tool. Use it to expose their lack of evidence then hit ‘em with 611 and even a 623 dispute directly to the creditor.
Not to be harsh but if a company claims they can delete legit negative info from your report, they’re lying. Credit repair isn’t about magic erasure it’s about accuracy, negotiation, and time.
I tried them AND The Credit Pros. Honestly, Credit Repair Resources was a little more hands-off. They filed disputes but didn’t educate me much. The Credit Pros gave more tools to monitor changes yourself.
I used The Credit Pros not Charleston-based but they operate nationwide. They removed 3 collections and helped me get a secured card. Took 4 months to see real change. They were okay but i honestly could’ve followed the same steps myself.
I did Sky Blue Credit online. Not Visalia-based but worked well and affordable. Just make sure whatever service you use explains things in plain english.
Technically credit bureaus have 30 days to investigate disputes under the FCRA. Anyone telling you they can do it in a day is either using a loophole or straight up lying. Read the law folks!
Nah it won’t mess with your credit. I used EBT in grad school while working two jobs and still got a car loan with decent interest. Just pay your stuff on time and ride it out. You’re doing what you gotta do.
Florida law is no joke. My cousin tried doing this casually and got slapped with a cease & desist for operating without bonding. Read everything......no shortcuts.
I’m actually still with them! Been 3 months and already had 1 charge-off deleted. They’re slow to respond to emails but faster on WhatsApp weirdly. I’ll update again in a few months.
I just worked with Lighthouse Financial Group in Cranston and was really impressed. They did a full review of my credit report, explained each negative mark, and even called a couple collectors with me.
Has anyone actually had success with Lexington Law? i see them in ads all the time, but reviews are super mixed. Wondering if they’re better in certain states like Alabama?
FICO scores typically start around 670–700 if you’ve been responsible for 6–12 months. That’s assuming no negatives. Most college students fall between 630–680 from what I’ve seen. You’ll build it up with time.
I work in credit risk for a fintech. Honestly i love it. Lots of autonomy, tools like PowerBI and Tableau, predictive modeling... But i hear traditional finance roles are more rigid so your mileage may vary.
A weekly progress tracker template might sound silly but for people like me, small wins kept me motivated. Like celebrate getting an inquiry removed. That stuff matters.
I worked with a financial advisor in the Crystal Lake Bank & Trust recommended him. Not technically credit repair, but he offered way better advice than the so called repair firms. Sometimes credit issues are more about planning than disputes.
CreditMRI got my bankruptcy from 2016 removed from Equifax only. TransUnion didn’t budge. That’s where I felt disappointed. Like don’t make promises if it’s only partial success.
I came from a credit union background, so I thought this would be more…consultative? It’s not. You follow a script, escalate issues, and keep everything super documented. You don’t really get to flex your finance muscles here.
