Honestly CRC is great for beginners, but as soon as you scale, the cracks start to show. I migrated everything to HighLevel CRM two months ago. Bit of a learning curve but way more stable.
If the bank has no record of the account, that’s a BIG red flag. Include that in your dispute. Ask the CRA to contact the creditor directly and provide all documentation. If they can't you’ve got a strong deletion case.
I teach credit repair workshops .....80% of the worst cases i see involve medical debt or… timeshares. People underestimate how serious it is. If it’s in your name it will haunt your credit report.
Got ghosted after paying the setup fee.......had to call three times before getting someone on the line. I got one item removed from Experian but Equifax and TransUnion barely budged.
I worked with a nonprofit credit counselor instead of a for-profit repair service. Big difference. They helped me build a debt payoff plan and actually taught me stuff. Check out NFCC.org to find someone legit.
Have not used one but i called around a few. Some charge document fees and others make you sign year-long contracts. Always ask if you can do month-to-month.
Has anyone tried those apps like Credit Versio? They do automated disputes and claim faster results. Not sure if it’s just fancy software or actually effective.
If you're worried about optics for future loans maybe keep a basic monthly budget log. Not because SNAP affects credit (it doesn't) but it might help if you ever want to apply for a loan and explain your finances during tough times.
Please make sure you're not giving legal or financial advice without a license. Credit repair is a gray zone and you don’t want someone blaming you for ruined credit later.
Honestly your best bet is to treat credit repair like personal training. A coach helps but u do the lifting. Seminole was like that for me kept me accountable but didn’t do everything. Still helped raise my score from 560 to 630 tho!
My rule is if a company won’t give you a free consultation and explain their plan before you pay, they’re probably not it. The good ones don’t hide behind paywalls. Ask tons of questions.
Focus on credit utilization. That’s a big part of the FICO model. Bring balances down to under 30% of the limit and ideally under 10% for max points. It’s math not magic.
I literally tanked my credit buying pizza and not paying off a $200 card.
College me was dumb.
If you’re making payments and thinking about this stuff, you’re already doing better than 75% of your peers.
I've been doing this 10 years. Here's the cycle:
entry-level = data grunt
Mid-level = analysis + reports
Senior = actual decision-making + policy creation. Early career folks might feel stuck but it gets better.
Would love a post breaking down what a goodwill letter is and who it actually works for. I keep seeing it mentioned but no idea if it's legit or just wishful thinking
Yo i tried to fix my credit solo for years and got nowhere. Then i bit the bullet and hired a local pro. My score went from 540 to 690 in under a year. Worth every penny but still skeptical about most places.
I’m in finance and i can tell you there’s nothing these people do that you can’t do yourself with time and patience. It’s tedious but not rocket science.
I’ve used several services and CreditMRI was mid-tier. Not the worst not amazing. Their backend portal was super clunky. Also don’t believe those free consultation ads...... it’s just a lead capture call with a sales script.
Worked there during their 2022 hiring spree. My TL was cool but upper management was always shifting priorities. Sometimes we’d build a whole workflow only to scrap it the next week. Felt like startup chaos with corporate oversight.
some people report their PayPal Credit account as a line of credit, not a credit card. Depends on how the bureau reports it. That can impact how much it affects your mix.
