Great card, terrible reporting logic. I had a $3K balance on it once and suddenly my score dropped 20 points. Turned out TU used high balance = credit limit logic and i hadn’t spent that much before. Thanks a lot.

Use conditional logic! If someone says No collections, don’t make them fill out a blank collections section.

Check out Credit Acceptance Corp. They work with dealers for subprime auto loans. Not perfect, but real option.

I used Lexington Law back in 2019. They were okay....removed a few things but honestly, paying off my cards and getting a secured card helped way more.

Get into credit repair the right way and you can help people and build a profitable biz. But you’ll need to learn consumer law, negotiation, and patience. It ain’t a get-rich-quick scheme.

My credit score didn’t drop from the garnishment.......it already fell off the cliff from the missed payments that caused it.

Use Credit Karma for monitoring + dispute directly with bureaus. Took my score from 580 to 720 in a year. No paid services.

Not sure why you'd use PayPal Credit unless you’re getting a good promo rate. Otherwise just use a cashback credit card and get rewards.

I used to work in consumer lending. Synchrony usually pulls from Experian unless locked. They report to all 3. They're also one of the quicker bureaus to update data each month.

Not a company but NJ Citizen Action offers free financial counseling. They helped my mom dispute a bogus medical bill.

True, but most banks have caught up with decent fraud protection for debit too. Still credit is def better in that one area.

Lexington was way more expensive for me. They also roped me into some monthly monitoring i didn’t ask for. Credit Repair Squad was less pushy.

Synchrony reported a payment as late for me even when i was like 5 days late...but I had been late before. So maybe it depends on your history.

Try Operation HOPE. They do FREE financial counseling and credit education. Located in Bronzeville. Not repair per se but they helped me clean up my report and negotiate old debts

I settled with ERC last year for a Verizon bill I totally forgot about. Paid like 60% of what they said i owed. Got it marked as paid collection, not ideal but better than nothing.

There’s a guide on nerdwallet. u just write to the bureaus....Experian, Equifax, TransUnion and explain the error with documentation. Don’t pay anyone for this.
