This could help address racial disparities in credit access. Communities that have been underserved by traditional banking systems finally get some recognition for non-loan payment history.
I just cracked 800 this year and already feel like I’m in the VIP lounge. Can’t imagine what the 850 club must feel like. Do they get secret handshake privileges?
Used them briefly. Communication was solid at the start, but started tapering off after the second month. Some negative accounts got removed but i expected more based on the hype. Not a total scam just... meh
I totally get where you’re coming from. I thought the same thing when I started using Pay Monthly. Unfortunately, it took me 3 months to realize it wasn’t showing up anywhere. Not all of them report
It’s worth calling Synchrony to confirm what you’ve got
Same boat here last year. My utilization was like 95% and i felt like i was drowning. I started using the avalanche method....highest interest card first. Took me 9 months but now i’m at 18% utilization and climbing.
They want to get their hooks in early. Brand loyalty is real. If your first card is from Chase, odds are you’ll stick with them when you’re earning six figures later on.
They helped my cousin with some charge-offs, but also told her upfront what they couldn’t do. That kind of honesty is rare in this space. She said they got 4 things removed but one stayed and they even refunded a month’s fee for that one.
OMG YES i used them! i was super skeptical too but honestly, they came through. Took about 4 months and my score jumped from 540 to 680. 🥹 Just don’t expect overnight magic.....it’s a slow climb. Worth it if you’re patient.
Don’t forget to check LexisNexis and SageStream. Sometimes the data trickles from them. If you suppress it there first the bureaus might follow. It’s a bit of a credit game of whack a mole.
I say try DIY first.. then escalate to Veracity or someone else if you hit a wall. I used them when i got overwhelmed with medical collections. They weren’t miracle workers but they did help organize things.
I signed up with Credit Saint Louis three months ago. So far they've removed two incorrect late payments, which is progress. But it's slow and you have to be patient. Don’t expect fireworks....this is more like a slow burn.
It’s not just you. My team of 3 has been seeing this for over a week. Same behavior across devices. Their infra must be getting throttled or something. Doesn’t look good.
I handwrote my 609 letter and included photocopies of my ID and utility bill. Took 3 weeks, and the CRA folded. I think the personal touch helped. Also: always send via certified mail!
My mom got talked into one of those cancel your timeshare now! services. They charged $4K upfront and ghosted. She ended up hiring a consumer attorney, who did more for her credit than the repair folks ever did.
Tried calling them twice to ask a few questions before signing up. Never got a callback. Red flag for me tbh. If you can't get ahold of them before paying imagine afterward
I talked to Safeport too! They’re actually attorneys so they take a more legal approach. It is pricier but they seemed more serious than the flashy types. I’m still deciding if i should commit.
If you’re thinking about going local, at least make sure they’re bonded and registered in CA. The Department of Justice has a searchable license portal. Dodgy shops love targeting desperate folks.
No service can legally delete accurate negative info overnight. The bureaus take time to investigate disputes. If anything’s removed that fast, it’s either a temporary suppression which can come back or some shady loophole that’ll get patched.
