OMG yes!! I worked with them like 6 months ago and they’re LEGIT. Got 4 collections removed and my score jumped 82 points. Still not perfect but I’m on my way to pre-approval
Before paying a credit repair service, pull your own reports from annualcreditreport.com. Highlight anything negative and research how to fix each item. Credit Karma is fine but it’s not the whole story.
I used them for 6 months and saw like a 20-point increase. They weren’t shady but not magical either. They did send monthly progress reports which was kinda nice.
I think these kinds of gray area credit products prey on folks who aren’t financially literate. It’s wild how easy it is to misunderstand what u are signing up for.
Check their business license, Google reviews, BBB complaints and whether they’re bonded. All credit repair orgs are supposed to register in many states.
If you’re worried about approval without a W-2, look into cards that accept stated income. Amex and Capital One have been good about that in my experience. Just don’t fib banks do verify sometimes.
I opened a savings account with them mostly for the higher APY than my Chase account. No complaints so far. But also… i don’t ask for much. I basically just let my money sit there like it’s in financial time out. 😂
Truist is… okay. It’s the child of BB&T and SunTrust and it inherited some issues from both. The app’s functional, customer service is hit or miss. Honestly if your local credit union has decent savings rates, i’d just go with them.
Yeah i looked into this last month. If it's the same case i think you're referring to, the claim deadline was back in Feb 2025. If you didn’t file by then u might be out of luck😕
Same boat here. I’m 23 and just opened my first CD. The APY means annual percentage yield..basically how much interest you earn in a year. That 4.50% is pretty solid right now.
The emails didn’t come from Cash App directly..they usually come from a settlement administrator. Mine came from a domain ending in @cashappsettlement.com. Looks sketchy, but it checked out.
Be careful with the nationwide label. Most credit unions are regional with shared branching..but that’s not the same as real nationwide service. If you travel a lot double-check ATM fees.
Weird i’ve had a decent experience with them. 🤷♂️ Site's not great, I’ll give you that, but their 1-year CD rate was solid when i signed up last year.
Yep i just went through this. Asked Chase for a direct deposit form and they printed one out with all my info...routing, account, the works. HR was totally fine with it.
