Does PayPal Credit Report to Credit Bureaus?

I've had perfect credit for the past six years never missed a payment. My score is currently 815. On April 19th a charge was made to my PayPal MasterCard that I didn’t notice, mainly because I haven’t used that card in years.

I just realized it yesterday and paid the balance in full it was only $15. Is there a chance this could still be reported and affect my credit? It would really suck to have my score take a hit over something so small.
 
Fifteen bucks? Man, the credit gods really don’t play around. It’s wild how something that small can potentially mess with years of careful credit building. Hopefully, they show a little mercy on this one it would be brutal to take a hit over something so minor. Fingers crossed the bureaus let it slide!
 
Yep PayPal does report to all three credit bureaus. But if you paid it off quickly and it wasn’t 30+ days late, you’re probably fine. They usually don’t report minor delinquencies unless it's a full-on missed payment.
 
If you caught it quickly and paid it the day after noticing and it wasn’t at least 30 days past due you’re likely in the clear. Most credit card issuers don’t report to the credit bureaus unless a payment is officially 30 days late or more. A few days late might get you a late fee, but it typically won’t touch your credit score.

Still, it’s always a good idea to double-check with the issuer just to be safe, especially since you've got a great credit history you want to protect.
 
I’d call Synchrony just to double check. Sometimes even small things can trigger a late mark especially if it crosses the 30-day threshold.
 
Something similar happened to me with my Banana Republic card I hadn’t used it in over two years then out of nowhere a random charge showed up. I didn’t catch it in time, missed the payment, and my score dropped 48 points. Still a little bitter about it not gonna lie.
 
If it wasn’t 30 days late you’re good. Worst case scenario, a small utilization blip that’ll go away next month. Your 815 score ain’t going anywhere.
 
this is exactly why I close out old cards I no longer use. Sure, it might slightly lower my average account age, but I’d rather deal with that than stress over random $12.37 charges sneaking through and messing with my credit. Peace of mind is worth it.
 
Honestly that’s why i closed my PayPal Credit years ago. One accidental $7 charge nuked my score by 40 points. Took me months to recover.
 
Getting hit over a $15 charge? That’s not just a credit ding that feels like a personal betrayal. Like of all things to mess with my score, this is the hill it chose?
 
You're prob fine unless it's been 30+ days. Credit reporting typically kicks in after that window. Synchrony’s ruthless though so keep an eye on it.
 
As long as the due date wasn’t too far back and you paid it before it hit the 30-day overdue mark you should be fine. Most lenders don’t report a late payment to the credit bureaus unless it’s officially 30 days past due
 
It’s definitely worth giving customer service a call to confirm the exact due date and whether a late payment was reported. They’ll usually give you a clear answer right away
 
Even if the payment was technically late, you can sometimes request a “goodwill adjustment,” especially if you’ve had a solid payment history up until now.

It’s not guaranteed but many issuers are willing to cut you some slack if it’s a one-time slip-up. Definitely worth asking.
 
I’ve actually had success with goodwill letters in the past. If you write it like you’re sincerely apologizing to your grandma polite, humble, and honest there’s a good chance someone on the other end might relate and give you a break.
 
PayPal Credit can be a bit tricky when it comes to servicing. It used to be handled by Synchrony Bank and they have a reputation for being quick to report late payments even for small slip-ups. Definitely one of the stricter lenders out there
