I noticed some delinquencies are still showing up on my TransUnion credit report after three years. According to my understanding, debt collection laws in New York limit these items to appearing for three years due to the new law that reduced the statute of limitations from 6 to 3 years.
I gained this from my research. Is there a reason these delinquencies might still be showing up? Should I contact TransUnion directly, or is there another recommended course of action?
