Penn Credit Pay for Delete? Need Help ASAP (House Down Payment)

Hey everyone,

Facing a tight deadline! I'm in the final stages of getting approved for a house, but an open collection with Penn Credit is throwing a wrench in the plans. I desperately need to get this off my report ASAP to secure the down payment. The collection is for $497 and relates to an old electricity bill.

I've scoured the subreddit for success stories on Penn Credit offering "pay-for-delete" options but haven't found any definitive examples.

To expedite this process, I'd be incredibly grateful if anyone has recently negotiated a successful pay-for-delete agreement with Penn Credit. Specifically, I'm interested in learning about the debt type (e.g., medical bill), the settlement percentage achieved, and if Penn Credit guaranteed removal of the negative information from the credit report after payment.

Additionally, any successful negotiation tactics used would be immensely helpful.

For context, I'm open to a reasonable settlement, but removal from my credit report is absolutely essential. My current credit score is 670 and I'm concerned this collection might push it below the required threshold for mortgage pre-approval.
