TRA tax relief: Is it legit or a scam?

I want to make sure they’re the real deal before committing. They claim to negotiate with the IRS and reduce tax debt, but I’ve heard mixed things about companies like this. Some people say they got real help while others feel like they just paid a bunch of fees for nothing.

Any advice would be appreciated...

Tax relief firms results can vary. They do negotiate with the IRS for settlements like offer in compromise (OIC) or installment agreements, but no company can guarantee debt reduction

It seems like these companies take advantage of people who are already struggling financially. If something sounds too good to be true it usually is.

Totally get your concern some of these companies can be legit but others just take your money without much results. Best bet is tocheck reviews, BBB ratings and see if they have licensed tax professionals. Also you can try a free consultation to gauge how they operate before committing. If the debt is serious you might want to talk directly to a tax pro or the IRS about options like an Offer in Compromise.

Be careful because some tax relief companies do help but many just take your money without real results. Check their BBB rating, reviews, and if they have licensed tax professionals like CPAs, EAs, or tax attorneys. Also get a free consultation and never pay upfront fees. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!

Yeah it's a gamble with some of these companies. Check their track record and look for BBB ratings, client reviews, and if they have licensed tax pros. If they push upfront fees without a real plan than that’s a red flag

There are definitely companies that prey on people’s fears and desperation.

They might make big promises like we’ll slash your tax debt to pennies on the dollar! or “We’ll make your IRS problems disappear only to charge you hefty fees without delivering much in return.

I hear you! Some people get real help while others just end up paying high fees with little to show for it. Before committing, must check reviews, BBB ratings, and make sure they’re transparent about costs. You might also explore IRS payment plans or consult a local tax expert for a better solution

Yeah companies promising to fight the IRS can be heroes or headaches...it's like flipping a coin. i'd suggest verifying them on BBB or asking for proof of past successes before handing over any cash.

Used them last year. Paid around $3,200 all in and they got my $22k IRS bill down to $5k. took 8 months. Not magic, but it worked for me.

So basically... i pay THEM to MAYBE pay the IRS less? feels like paying someone to throw rocks at my own window and maybe patch it up later. 🙃

I actually used TRA last year. $4,000 later, my debt went from $17k to $15k 🙃. They mostly just got me into a payment plan i could've done myself. Nice people but not magic workers.

My cousin used them and got his $19k debt down to like $5k. Took about 8 months and yeah the fees were steep but he says it was worth the peace of mind 🤷‍♂️

I actually used TRA last year. My tax debt was $24k and they got it down to $5k. Took months and a bunch of paperwork though. Not a scam but not a miracle either.

If it sounds too good to be true... it probably is. IRS debt doesn’t just disappear because u hire someone. These companies charge a lot and don't always deliver. be careful

U are better off looking for a local Enrolled Agent or a CPA who specializes in tax resolution. These big tax relief companies throw around terms like Offer in Compromise to get you in the door but they often won’t even try unless you owe a significant amount and meet very specific criteria.
