I’m looking for recommendations on legit credit repair companies in connecticut. as i have a few late payments and collections that i need help disputing and iwant to make sure i'm working with a company that actually delivers results
if you've worked with a connecticut based credit repair company did they help improve your score & how much did they charge?
 
worked with a connecticut-based credit repair company about a year ago and while they did help remove some negative items it wasn’t an overnight fix. They charged around $99/month and handled disputes with the credit bureaus
 
I used a local credit repair agency in Hartford, and while they helped with some disputes, I felt like they were just sending out standard dispute letters something I later realized I could do myself for free.

They charged me about $120/month for six months, and while my score did improve, a big part of that was just me paying down debts. If you decide to go with a service ask them for specifics on their process and make sure they don’t ask for upfront fees (that’s a red flag)
 
If you’re set on hiring a company, look for one that’s transparent, has no hidden fees, and doesn’t promise overnight results (since real credit repair takes time). But if you’re willing to put in the effort, DIY credit repair can save you a lot of money
