I’m guessing they’re rolling it out slowly so they don’t get slammed with replacement card requests. If everyone asked at once customer service would crash lol.
Rapido was okay but you have to manage your expectations. They’re not magicians. If you’ve got collections from 2023 and just stopped paying they won’t vanish overnight. It’s a grind even with help.
I don’t trust ANY credit repair companies. Omega might be one of the better ones but in the end they’re still charging you for something you can legally do yourself. Google is free.
Also from Portland and using Omega now too! They’ve been transparent and chill. Still early days but they already got one repo removed. I also froze LexisNexis and ChexSystems per their advice. Highly recommend freezing secondary bureaus.
Respect for doing it by 26! Took me until 35 to break 800 because I was reckless with my early 20s cards. Never realized how damaging a 30-day late mark could be until I lived it.
They removed one late payment and got a medical collection deleted. Took 4 months though. Worth it? Debatable. I probably could’ve done it myself but i’m lazy and i’d rather outsource it. So yeah no regrets but no fireworks either.
I once bought a bundle that had straight up typos like experian spelled wrong in every email. Had to clean it up big time. But still the framework saved me hours. Just don’t expect plug and play perfection.
Start a paper trail ASAP. Every call, every letter...log it all. I had to send a signed affidavit and a notarized copy of my ID just to get Experian to look into it. The online form was totally ignored.
My FICO was 580 when i got serious. Used Experian Boost and went to 605 instantly because it recognized my rent and Netflix payments not much but hey every point counts when you’re trying to escape the subprime dungeon.
Girl I know used Premier Solutions off Lakeshore Parkway. She swears by them. Said they helped her get a secured card and budget like a pro. Just make sure they’re not pushing tradelines or shady CPN stuff......some do that around here
Lexington Law feels like one of those late-night “We’ll fix your credit FAST” infomercials. Flashy, expensive, and meh results. Their dashboard is nice though i’ll give them that.
I vote for RestoreWise out of your list. Feels calming and intelligent. You could tweak it to WiseRestore Solutions or even Wisely Credit if you want to lean harder into the wisdom theme.
I actually liked their dashboard. It wasn’t overly techy but i could see disputes in progress and what was being challenged. Gave me some peace of mind. But like others said don’t expect miracles.
They’ve been around since the 80s, i think. Based out of Colorado but collect nationwide. Focus mostly on medical and utility collections. Better Business Bureau has them listed as legit for what it’s worth.
It’s wild how little impact some of these removals have. I deleted two collections and still hovered in the same range for weeks. Then suddenly 40-point jump. Credit scores are dramatic like that.
Hey props for wanting to do it right. A lotta people just wing it. Look into software like DisputeBee or Credit Repair Cloud....they help automate the boring stuff.
New Jersey has strict consumer protection laws, so any credit repair company operating here has to be registered and follow certain rules. Look up the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs database before committing.
