Rapido gave me a login to a client portal that actually tracked disputes and changes in score. That transparency gave me peace of mind even though the results were slow. Not bad if you like seeing things in writing.
Omega worked okay, but what REALLY helped was them teaching me to use my credit cards right. Credit utilization hacks alone gave me a 30-point jump. Wish someone had told me that in high school lol.
I paid off a charged-off card, thinking it would help. My score dropped. Apparently paying doesn’t always mean deleting. Learned the hard way to negotiate for deletion first then pay.
I’m more impressed you’ve managed to avoid burning out on credit tracking. I did spreadsheets for 2 years and gave up. Switched to autopay and Zen. Somehow that worked better
I signed up with Brightside in January and they’ve been a decent help. Got a collection account removed and my score jumped 40 points. That said, they aren’t magicians ....you have to be proactive. I also got a secured card around the same time, so maybe that helped too. Worth it if you’re...
I run a content biz and software eats 25% of my budget. Amazon Prime, Adobe CC, Buffer, etc. I got the AmEx Blue Plus just for that. The 2x points help stack up quickly when your life is subscriptions.
I used Tools4Wisdom’s bundle. Pretty decent as a starter pack. The autoresponder series was like… 70% usable. But i did fact check everything before publishing.
Honestly i’d be more shocked if a credit bureau did not screw something up this badly. Hope you get it sorted. This kinda thing is why i don’t trust auto pay anymore.
Student loans were crushing me. Got on an income based repayment plan and my score actually went up after a few months of consistent payments. Don’t ignore loans even $0 payments help your history if reported properly.
My dad worked with GreenPath Financial Wellness. They partnered with his job for free sessions. They helped him set up a debt snowball plan and even consolidated his old credit card debt into a better rate. Not technically credit repair but it worked.
I’m always wary of services that charge monthly to fix credit. Lexington Law felt more like a subscription gym..you pay you feel like you're doing something but progress is slow unless you do the heavy lifting yourself.
The FCRA gives you the right to dispute inaccurate info. That’s solid but disputing everything even accurate stuff, is abuse of that system. And that can come back to bite you.
Communication was solid...i got monthly updates and they responded to emails within 48 hours. But i agree with the flashy website critique. They hype up results like everyone’s score is gonna jump 100 points overnight. That’s not reality.
credit scores are a scam lol. You do everything right and still get punished. Miss a $25 payment once and lose 80 points. Pay off a debt? Meh, we’ll think about it.
I was in the same boat a year ago! Helped a few family members then their friends started asking. I didn’t realize how quick the demand grows. Make sure you’ve got consent forms and keep things transparent.....people get real weird when it comes to money and credit.
Has anyone heard of Sky Blue Credit? They say they work with people in NJ but i haven’t found much beyond their website. I don’t want to get scammed but i’m tired of getting denied loans
I've tried TurboTax, H&R Block, and Cash App Taxes. Honestly, TurboTax has the best interface IMO but it's pricey. Cash App Taxes is 100% free and pretty intuitive. Great if u have simple returns and don’t want to pay a dime.
Honestly, just look at what the big dogs are doing....Lexington Law, Credit Saint, etc. Then do a more modern, friendlier version. Most of their logos are outdated as hell.
