Any experience working at a credit repair jobs?

I’ve been offered a position at a company my friend works at that deals with tradelines, credit sweeps, and other credit repair services. According to him, they’re getting more inquiries than he can keep up with, so they’re looking to bring someone else on board. He’s been making really good money and highly recommends I join the team.

The thing is, I’m not very familiar with this industry especially when it comes to the legal side of things and the gray areas surrounding credit repair practices. I’m definitely interested, but I want to make sure I understand what I’d be getting into.

Is there anyone here who knows more about this space and can help answer some detailed questions? I’d really appreciate the insight!
 
Tradelines and credit sweeps sound like someone watched too much YouTube and said I can make money doing that. Be careful or you’ll end up learning credit law from a judge.
 
Not all credit repair companies are shady, but the industry definitely attracts bad actors. Check if the company is registered with the CFPB or follows Credit Repair Organizations Act. If not, bail.
 
Dude I did it for 6 months. Easiest money I ever made. People are desperate to fix their credit, and most don’t know they could just DIY it. Morally gray? For sure. But if you’re okay with that, it’s a hustle.
 
I tried joining a similar company but dipped after the first training session when they handed us dispute templates and told us to spam the bureaus. Felt slimy.
 
Bro i paid one of these services. They got a repo deleted but then it came back 3 months later. $800 down the drain. If you're thinking of joining one of these companies, ask them about their refund policy
 
Tradelines are totally legal if used properly. Adding someone as an authorized user is common. Just don’t promise it’ll boost scores by X points. That’s where people get sued.
 
I work for a legit company. We use real FCRA-based disputes, never touch sweeps, and educate clients. It’s rewarding when done ethically. But yeah… the industry has a bad rep for a reason.
 
Honestly i made $5K/month doing sales for a credit repair firm in Atlanta. I quit when I realized they weren’t actually helping people......just running them on a loop of monthly fees.
 
My brother’s credit repair gig helped him get out of debt and become a homeowner. It can be done right.......just depends on the company.
 
I used to collect debts. You’d be amazed how many people dispute real stuff and get away with it just because the creditor is lazy. Doesn’t mean it’s right tho.
 
If you go in with the goal of genuinely helping people and educating yourself, you might be the change this industry needs. Just don’t compromise your morals.
 
I actually found a great mentor in credit repair who taught me how to legally dispute, negotiate pay-for-delete, and coach people. Changed my life. Don’t lump all of us in with the scammers.
 
Get into credit repair the right way and you can help people and build a profitable biz. But you’ll need to learn consumer law, negotiation, and patience. It ain’t a get-rich-quick scheme.
 
I signed up for one of these once. They said they’d clean my report and did nothing. Then charged me $120/month until I caught it.
