Are EverBank accounts worth it?

Hello! I’m considering opening a HYSA with EverBank because their current APY of just over 4.40% is really tempting. They’re FDIC insured, have no monthly fees, and no minimum balance, which checks a lot of boxes for me.

My main hesitation is that I’ve never heard of EverBank before. Most of my money is currently with Capital On, and while the rates are much lower, I know their customer service and accessibility are solid. Has anyone here used EverBank for savings or checking?

I’m also curious how long transfers between banks take and if their customer service is responsive. Would love to hear your experiences before making the switch!

I’m with CapitalOne at 4.25% APY but switching to EverBank for 5.15%. I called yesterday, and their service was fine. The system’s a bit clunky, but it doesn’t bother me.

I opened an account less than a day ago, and my experience with customer service was awful. There’s no money in the account, and Im already dealing with bad attitudes. When I asked to close it, they said I had to wait 24 hours first. I would suggest avoid this bank.

I’ve been banking with EverBank since the investors took over, and it’s legit. No issues so far. If you need in-person help, go local, but for solid online banking, EverBank works great.
