Reached the point where I know I can’t keep putting this off I need to repair my credit now.
Life happened. A few missed payments, a collection or two, and now my score is not where I want it to be. I’m not trying to buy a house tomorrow, but I want to get ahead of this so I can have more options (and less stress) down the road.
I’ve been reading a lot about credit repair, but there’s so much info out there and honestly, some of it seems super scammy. So I wanted to come here and ask:
What actually works?

What actually works?
- Are there any credit repair services that are legit and worth paying for?
- Has anyone successfully done DIY credit repair and seen results?
- Is disputing errors still effective in 2025, or are the bureaus stricter now?
- How long did it take you to see real improvement?
