MRS BPO LLC- Settlement Terms & Conditions

I recently received a settlement offer from MRS BPO LLC for an old medical bill I had completely forgotten about around $1,400. They’re offering to settle for just $450, which honestly sounds like a steal! But before I rush to pay it, a few things in the fine print are making me a little cautious.

The offer states that the settlement covers the past-due balance, but there’s a small disclaimer saying it doesn’t cover any remaining past-due or currently due balances. What does that even mean? Are there hidden fees or additional charges I’m not seeing? Also, nowhere in the offer does it mention a pay for delete, which has me worried. I don’t want to pay this and still have the debt stick around on my credit report.

Has anyone here dealt with MRS BPO LLC before? Did settling actually help your credit score, or did the debt stay on your report? I’d really appreciate any advice on how to handle this offer or how to get more clarity from them before moving forward!

That disclaimer means the $450 might only cover part of what you owe.

There could be other fees or balances left over, so you need to clarify if this settlement will fully close the account.

Before you agree to the settlement, ask for a letter confirming that once you pay, the account will be considered paid in full. This protects you from them coming back later for more money.

Before paying, find out if the debt is still within your state’s statute of limitations. If it’s too old they can’t legally sue you for it
